Hold the lift

A little piece for

Running in heels wasn't easy at the best of times, though Jamie really wasn't doing herself any favours. She was fifteen minutes late for her meeting for a start, and then there was the matter of her lunch...
the door to the lift of the plush lobby began to close, she hitched her grey pencil skirt up a little and quickened her step. Just a few feet more! Nearly there!
She crossed the line, just as the doors narrowed yet further, she was home and dry...
Or at least part of her was.
Jamie had been to the all you can eat buffet across the street for her lunch. She'd purposefully gone out of her way to buy a maternity version if her usual suit, she had her eye on her property company buying the lot cheap and she was determined to put the owner out of business so she could buy the plot cheap. Best way to do that? By heating him at his own game.
All you can eat, in Jamie's case, turned out to be a lot.
